Drama in the real world of football players

So lately I have been discussing about football teams and about drafting on different teams. I figured I change it up this week. I recently just read an article dealing with the NFL player Holmes from the team the Steelers. According to the Police Holmes is some how involved with an incdent that occurred in Orlando, Florida. In a night club where Holmes was hanging out a woman claimed he had threw a cup at her. Holmes stated, "another woman hit her with the cup". But, what seem to be something so small came out to be something bigger than it really should be unless Holmes is lying. Holmes told the police that the woman who said that Holmes threw a cup at her actually grab his arm and into her face and called her unnecessary names because he asked for his seat back in VIP section. Both stories seem not o be connecting or smiliar. In my opinon I believe the woman who Holmes was who is a Super Bowl XLIII MVP and decided to take advantage of him. I do not understand a person sueing or filing a law suit for a so call thrown of a cup. Although, Holmes is involved with possession of marijuana I still think he is taken advantage in this particular case.

Hard Times

It's the off season and coaches, players and managers are still in debates on who to keep on their team, who they want to pick up or who to get rid of it. It is hard decisions for everyone they have to look at not only themselves in the situation but how are they beneficial to the team. For the New York Giants there is one player who both the coaches are struggling in decided if they should keep him to the team. This player is Umenyiora. Giants coaches do not know if they want to keep him on the team for next season because of his injury and other side conflicts that occurred. During the off season Umenyiora is trying to keep his head held one and avoid any controversy. Instead of Umenyiora putting his input in how he feels about not knowing if he is going to be on the team for the season he is just assuming he is and doing his best. Umenyiora promised that he would be no issues for the Giants and trying his best not to upset the Giants. I feel bad for Umenyiora he is a good player although, he did have injuries and rough patches during seasons. I think the New York Giants should take into consideration that he is doing his best not to get the media involved. It is hard times for him and the time and I hope the New York Giants take him back.

Certain things can't change the Dolphins minds

Although, Jason Ferguson who was traded in 2008 from the Dallas Cowboys to the Miami Dolphins is suspended to 8 games in 2010. This suspsension was lead because he failed to follow the rules and regulations of the league's performance enhancing drug program. Now with this suspension of not being able to play the first games of the 2010 season you would think either Ferguson would go into retirement since really no one would draft him or pick him up to be on a team. Well, wrong the Miami Dolphins decided to re-sign Jason! Supposedly, the Dolphins had stated that the re-signing of Jason had no reference to this violation. I think its very intersting that the Dolphins did not take into consideration the fact Jason did not follow rules but still the re-sign him. It will be interesting in the season of 2010 after 8 games how long it takes to play him. Jason is 35 and had a major injury due a sidelining incident back in one November. Many people assume Jason was going to retire but I guess that answers everything opinions. I can not wait until the football season starts again!

Some Lions and Chargers News!

So recently I have read up about the Lions and Chargers looking about trading Antonio Cromartie. Mr. Cromartie is a cornerback for the Chargers who have shop for him. Mr. Cromartie has been with the Chargers for a few seasons but Chargers are now unsure if it was the right idea of having Antonio Cromartie. As soon as the Detroit Lions heard the news they contacted the Charagers right away. I find it very interesting how much intersts the Lions have for Antonio! Even Mr. Cromartie has no complaints. He had stated that he has complained many times to the Charger Coaches but the plays and they way he played. Antonio himself believe maybe its a good idea to move on. Of course no official trades can happen until March 5. It will be intersting to see how this trades goes about. I hope Cromartie is still able to be on a team! Although, I do not really follow the Chargers my Godfather is a huge fan and he even agreed with the Charagers maybe releasing Antonio Cromartie
